Billys lore-generating trips to Limerick.

Daire O Sullivan
Billys love of cats.

Daire O Sullivan
Billys knack for storytelling.

The many times Billy and myself fixed cars (my cars). I would definetly say I experienced Dad Billy. Always getting the safety brief before any action. I'll think about him everytime I change the oil in my car.

The many cross-country trips we went on. Trips to Mondello, trips to get the Corolla, West Cork Rally, Kilkenny for car parts. Many chats were had. Punto, Merc, Corolla.

Billy gaslighting his Mom into thinking my nickname, Dos, was an African tribal name.

Billy navigating from Cork to Letterkenny and back from just road signs.

When we travelled up the country to buy his C180 that was a field car not meant for the road.

The time we drove to Mondello to the drift games bash trying to match make Dean and Susanna.

The time we got the train to Naas for a car show in 2019 and snuck into a night club as 17.

Was sitting down for Liams birthday and Billy started telling me that he went to buy some tires and the man he was buying them off blocked his car in and started acting strange, implying he was going to be kidnapped but every time he told me something strange the man said it just sounded like the poor fella was lonely.

Whenever I would dread going to an ordinary level Irish class on a Monday morning but then realising Billy was going to have a story that would take up the entire class made school bearable.

Luke Mulcair
Making everyone on a weekly basis think that me and Billy had a feud even though we were never closer.

When we went to Dublin for a gig and Billy made an awful concoction from the IKEA buffet and took a dodgy photo of his plate on his Blokia and had us all howling for hours at the state of his plate.

Liam Daly
In Kent when he dressed in a Minions costume with a Witch mask and terrorised the camp, as well as tried to sneak into a wedding.

Billy made it very clear to me from the beginning of scouts that he was very fond of badgers ... leading him into naming our patrol Badgers. When he moved on to ventures he warned me to take care of the troop but mainly to fight anyone who tried to rename us. Billy was my biggest mentor teaching me all sorts of random knowledge I didn't think I needed but truth be told, he was right and I think of him everytime I do use the tips and tricks he taught me. I will always cherish the memories we had together.

Doing an astronomy course with 10 year old Billy in 2011. He was by far the most knowledgeable student and everyone was in awe - myself included. We started with a general knowledge of astronomy quiz - Distance from the sun- Billy’s hand up - 93 million miles Names of planets by distance from the sun - Billy’s hand up Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto (still a planet in those days) The lecturer asked. How did you know that young man and Billy said- My very educated mother just served us nine pizzas! Great memories. He kept every Astronomy Ireland magazine

My first time driving after I got my license I drove into town to meet some friends and parked the car in Merchants Quay multistorey. I was all happy out to be the first of my friends who could drive, and I even offered one of them a lift home. We walked back up to the car at about 10pm and I said huh, weird that the headlights are still on, I thought they turned off by themselves, what are the odds they batteries flat. Sure enough it was, and since I had no idea what to do with a flat battery I rang the big brother and he came in to rescue me, after he called me an ejit of course. Billy came in about a half hour later and hooked up the jump leads and started revving the engine, but no joy, the jump leads had actually rotted off and wouldn't hold a connection. I was a bit panicked since the car park was closing in about 5 minutes but no fear, Billy had a plan. He hopped into the driver's seat, popped it into first gear, and told me and my friend to push. So we roll it through the car park and sure enough the car starts. Rest assured Billy never let me live that episode down.

Taking a 13 year old Billy to the Geneva Motor Show for our first time- sprinting through Charles de Gaulle airport for a connecting flight and landing in Geneva at 6 o clock. I asked Bill would we head to the hotel to drop off the bags or would we head to the motor show - 15 mins walk in Palexpo for the last 45 minutes. Billy said we’d head straight to the motor show to properly scope out the place for the morning. We had a super time and we returned the following year. Great days indeed
